How to Care for Cotton, Handloom & Block Print Clothes

Wash, dry, iron, and store cotton and handloom pieces so colours stay kind and fabrics stay soft season after season.

Cotton kurtis, handloom sarees, and block print suit sets last longer with gentle habits. Follow this care routine to protect colour and handfeel — especially for artisan dyes from Jaipur.

Wash

  • Cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent.
  • Wash similar colours together the first few times.
  • Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers on artisan dyes.
  • Turn garments inside out to protect prints.

Dry & iron

Dry in the shade on a hanger or flat. Iron on medium heat, preferably on the reverse of prints. Steam releases travel creases without crushing the cloth.

Store

Use breathable cotton covers. Avoid airtight plastic for long storage. Keep tags if you may exchange within our return window.

Wear it often

Pieces that wash well deserve a place in weekly rotation.
